The Netherlands has a long leading tradition of wind music. Almost every village has one or more wind bands that often make music at a high level. The composer was inspired to write this piece by successful famous Dutch wind music composers. The result is a playable, accessible, fresh piece of music with a recognizable basic theme, which is displayed in various styles and atmospheres.
