“Lost in Space” is a trumpet solo that expresses the emptiness and rudderlessness in the space between the twinkling stars and the planets. You float rudderless through an infinite void. Suddenly you are trapped by the gravity of a black hole. The gravitational pull of the black hole draws you faster and faster towards it. What would happen if you flew through that? Do you see spectacular images? All new, perhaps habitable planets? Or, is there just empty space on the other side of the black hole, and nothing there at all?
