Son of the Sun

Everyone knows the famous Bible story about Samson and Delilah. Samson means “Son of the Sun”. This extremely strong man derives his extreme strength from his long hair. When he reveals this secret to his beloved Delilah, she cuts his hair, so that he loses his powers and could be imprisoned by the Philistines. The tragic history of Samson is musically interpreted in three parts in this concert piece written in Eastern style.
